St. Joseph County Road Commission received a Safe Streets and Roads For All (SS4A) action plan grant in Fiscal Year 22 from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. This initiative, part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), allocates $5 billion in federal funding over five years (2022-2026).

A Comprehensive Transportation Safety Action Plan (CTSAP) will provide a roadmap for the efficient and effective implementation of safety projects throughout the county. The CTSAP will work in concert with ongoing initiatives to develop a safer, more accessible, and equitable transportation system for all users and modes of travel while serving as a framework for future infrastructure investments.

St. Joseph County seeks input from residents for Phase 1 Engagement of the Comprehensive Transportation Safety Action Plan (CTSAP). Your feedback is vital in shaping safer transportation solutions for our community.
