RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE WATER AND SEWER FEE SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, Ordinance 171 authorizes the Village Council to set utility rates by resolution; and
WHEREAS, Sufficient data has been collected regarding metered water usage; and
WHEREAS, a thorough rate study has been completed for the Water and Sanitary Sewer Systems with consideration of planned projects and annual budgets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Water and Sewer Fee Schedule is amended as follows:
- Readiness-to-Serve (RTS) Charges
The base RTS charges shall be $45.00 for Water and $10.00 for Sewer. These base charges apply to a standard 5/8″ or 3/4″ meter. For meters larger than 3/4″, the base charge shall be multiplied by the Meter-Size Factor established in Appendix A.
- Consumption Rates
- Water: $8.00 per 1,000 gallons.
- Sewer: $3.00 per 1,000 gallons (based on metered water consumption).
- Future Adjustments & Inflation
Unless otherwise amended, all RTS and Consumption rates shall increase by 4% annually, effective October 1st of each year.
- Effective Date:
The above rates shall take effect on October 1, 2026 provided that estimated metered monthly bills are delivered to all customers in July, August, and September.
